Science Demonstrations
– Materials from Nature: Dr. Christine Ortiz is a scientist that studies nature for ideas to improve man-made objects. Lets explore some materials inspired by the natural world
– Mind the Magnets: Dr. Rodrigo Braga is a scientists studying the brain and how it works. He uses magnetic resonance imaging to see inside our minds. Come explore a bit more about magnets and how they can help us see deeper.
– I am a Scientist!: Draw yourself as the amazing scientist you are!
– How do we study Burned Forests?: Fire affects ecosystems worldwide, but do you know how scientists study fire effects in forest ecosystems? Meet Paola, a Natural Resource Engineer from Chile, and learn how we study fire effects with an example of the Araucaria (monkey puzzle) forests from southern South America.
